The Principal, Mr Howard Isaacs, will be participating in the 2014 Emerging Leaders in the Americas Programme (ELAP) Collaboration Mission offered by the Canadian Government through the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) and coordinated by the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE).
Mr. Isaacs along with nineteen (19) other academic leaders from the Caribbean and Latin America will, from November 12-22, 2014 meet with Colleges and Universities from across Canada to establish partnerships. The mission will involve travel to five (5) cities in Canada and meetings with over eight (8) Universities. He along with the other ELAP Champions will also be attending the 2014 CBIE annual conference. The mission is financed by the DFATD.
Over the years, the college through its membership with the Council of Community Colleges of Jamaica (CCCJ) has had several partnerships with a number of Canadian institutions. These include, among others, Seneca College, George Brown College, Centennial College and Okanagan College. The main areas of collaboration have been through faculty exchange and student continuation of studies.
