Outstanding Moneague College Graduate
Mr. Jules Nevers is one of the many outstanding graduates of The Moneague College where he completed the Council of Community Colleges of Jamaica Associate Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management. In the transitioning years the opportunity was provided by the College’s alliance with several colleges abroad which aided Jules in his pursuit for further studies and ultimately afforded him the privilege that led to his employment in several exceptional hotels. These include – The Fort Lauderdale Marriott North – Fort Lauderdale, Renaissance Boca Raton Hotel – Boca Raton, Florida and Marina Marriott – Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His first appointment was as a Banquet Captain, however his professional and astute work attitude soon propelled him to several positions to include Restaurant Manager, Banquet Manager and Assistant Manager.
Jules is currently the Food and Beverage Director for one of North America’s prestigious hotel chains: The Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach – Hollywood, Florida. As a senior manager at the hotel, Jules is accountable for all aspects of the food and beverage function encompassing sales, operations, revenue/profitability, customer service, liquor controls, food quality, inventory management, purchasing, vendor relations, quality assurance, sanitation, and financial control. Annually he is accountable for revenue in excess of $5.8M including catering operations.
Jules is always quick to credit the College for the impact the institution played in his development and the following is a synopsis that corroborates his sentiments to this regard.
