Dewey decimal classification is the system of arrangement used as it is ideal for organizing small to medium sized libraries, a range within which Moneague College Library falls. This system uses the numerals 1 to 9 to classify the entire field of knowledge and ‘0’ for subjects of a general or collective nature such as encyclopedias. The Sears List of Subject Headings is used to arrange materials under heading. The collection is arranged into Reference and Lending, with a West Indian Collection in each section. Junior and Fiction books are located in the lending section of the library.
