Overview
The Associate of Applied Science in Climate Smart Agro-processing seeks to compliment fundamental principles in core subject areas such as biology, chemistry and environmental studies. Experiential and practical activities are also implemented to build a cadre of graduates who can function effectively within the agro-processing and climate smart agricultural fields. The synergistic mix of courses will provide learners with the appropriate educational background and technical skill sets to meet the current emerging and future demands of the food manufacturing industry. It will focus on the development of functional and enterprising professionals who are able to apply appropriate principles and practices to real world situations and create solutions, through exposure to:

Possible Career Opportunities
This degree is specifically designed to train a cadre of highly knowledgeable, skilled and motivated individuals to work in: Agri-business, logistics and supply chain management, food processing, food storage and sanitation; greenhouse and crop management or to create their own agro-processing businesses. Graduates will also be able to transition smoothly into other Agriculture and Food Processing Bachelor degree programs.

Requirements:

- Mature Entry- Mature students must have at least two CSEC subjects including English Language and three (3) years’ experience in the industry.
