Overview: Bachelor in Hospitality & Tourism Management
The United Nations World Tourism Organization’s Report posited that the economics of the 21st century will be dominated by three industries: telecommunications, information technology and tourism. The report further stated that over the past six decades, tourism has experienced continued expansion and diversification becoming one of the largest and fastest growing economic sectors in the world. As a result, travel and tourism in Jamaica and by extension the Caribbean is poised as being one the major contributors to economic development within the next couple of years.
The growth of these industries has opened many new job opportunities for graduates in areas such as:
