The School of Business
Introduction to The School of Business:
The Moneague College School of Business is the largest school in the college. It comprises a cadre of highly qualified lecturers who possess a wealth of experience both in academia as well as industry. Some lecturers have also done industry furlough in their spare time in organizations such as the Companies Office of Jamaica among others to keep abreast of the changes in the business industry.
Additionally, several of our lecturers also have international qualifications as well as international teaching experience.
The mission of the Moneague College School of Business is “To promote excellence in education using cutting edge technology, underpinned by the tenets of collaboration, integrity and respect. Our programme prepares students to become ethical professionals, insightful leaders and outstanding entrepreneurs who will change the economic landscape of the global environment.”
We are also guided by our vision statement which is “To graduate exemplary professionals who epitomize global business standards and values.” Hence, gaining acceptance to the School of Business is the ‘runway’ to ‘take off’ to the heights of your career in the field of business. Our graduates have been employed in the private sector (banking industry, hotel industry, Credit Unions); in the Public sector as well internationally (recently An Accounting firm in the United States of America).
Real World Learning
Our lecturers employ a variety of methodologies in delivering course content to students using face to face, online or a blended approach. Students also get the opportunity to go on field trips as well as hear from guest presenters in the business industry. Access to a Global Education Network.
Both of the School’s programmes are accredited by the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ), that means that Moneague has consistently shown a commitment to quality. The college also promotes and rewards scholastic achievement of students in the business programmes. Recently some of our students got inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa honour society (Jamaican chapter) based on their excellent academic performance.
Programmes Offered
The Moneague College School of Business in association with the Council of Community Colleges of Jamaica (CCCJ) offers a four year Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Upon the successful completion of the first two years of the programme, students are awarded the Associate of Science Degree in Business Administration.
They may then choose to proceed to the third and fourth years of the programme to attain the Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

Bsc. Logistics and Supply Chain Management
Location: (Main Campus)
- At least five (5) CXC or GCE O’Level subjects inclusive of English, Language and Mathematics.
- Mature candidates must be at least 25 years of age and have at least (5) years’ work experience at the supervisory level or equivalent qualification.
4 Years
Bsc in Business Studies (CCCJ)
Location: (Main Campus)
- On successful completion of the Bachelor's Degree in business studies. Consideration will be given to candidates with associate Degree in business from accredited institutions subject to the evaluation of the CCCJ

Bsc in Computer Science (UTECH)
Location: (Main Campus)
- Satisfy the University requirements for Normal Matriculation.
- Have obtained passes at CXC Secondary Education General Proficiency level (or equivalent) in Mathematics and two subjects at CAPE (both comprising Units 1 & 2) or at GCE A-level (or equivalent) one of which must be an approved science subject.

Bsc in Environmental Studies (CCCJ)
Location: (Main Campus)
In order to be considered for the Bsc in Environmental Studies programme, successful completion of the Associate Degree in Environmental Studies or other relevant Associate Degrees issued by the CCCJ. Consideration will be given to candidates with Associate degrees from other accredited institutions subject to the evaluation of the CCCJ.

Bsc in Hospitality & Tourism Management (CCCJ)
Location: (Main Campus)
To be considered for the Bsc in Hospitality & Tourism Management programme, successful completion of the Associate Degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management or other relevant Associate Degrees issued by the CCCJ. Consideration will be given to candidates with Associate degrees from other accredited institutions subject to the evaluation of the CCCJ.

Bsc in Social Work (LOCAL)
Location: (Main Campus)
Entry requirements for our Bsc. in Social work includes the successful completion of an Associate Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution. Consideration will be given to candidates with Associate degrees from other accredited institutions subject to the evaluation of the CCCJ.

- Five (5) CXCs General I, II, III or GCE O’Levels, A, B, C, including English, Language and either Mathematics, (if no Mathematics is offered, student must do foundation concepts in Mathematics)
- NVQ3 and any other relevant qualifications subject to the evaluation of the CCCJ.
