Associate of Science in Management Information Systems
The Associate of Science Degree in Management Information Systems is concerned with the development, systems design, and programming skills that will enable graduates to function effectively in a variety of entry-level positions; or to matriculate into the bachelor’s degree programme. The objectives of this programme are to produce students who can:
- Appreciate the importance of making evidence-based decisions using theoretical, practical, and technical data from a wide range of credible sources.
- Apply theoretical knowledge to solve complex and technical problems in a range of contexts.
- Understand the importance of ethical conduct in professional and personal life.
- Understand and respond to written, spoken, and visual messages in a manner that ensures effective communication with people in a multicultural context.
- Appreciate the importance of ethical and environmentally safe practices for sustainability.
- Understand the importance of social responsibility in professional and personal life.
Sometime in the future, science will be able to create realities that we can't even begin to imagine. As we evolve, we'll be able to construct other information systems that correspond to other realities, universes based on logic completely different from ours and not based on space and time.

Programme Goals
The Associate Degree in Management Information Systems offers a blend of business-related courses and computer science courses that are designed to prepare students for a variety of entry-level positions in a high-paced and ever-growing field in information systems and technology. It was designed to develop students’ analytical, communication, and programming skills, so that they may add value to organizations by using and infusing new and emerging ICTs (Information and Communications Technology/s) at different levels of operation in any organization. The philosophy adopted in the design of this programme focuses on preparing students to use ICTs to meet the strategic needs of organizations.

Matriculation Requirements:

Full Time: Two (2) years with four (4) semesters
Part-Time Two (2) years with six (6) semesters i.e. two (2) summer semesters
